Programs Offered at the Skilling Center
Our Skilling Center provides a wide range of vocational and professional training courses tailored to meet local job market needs. Key programs include:
- Technical Skills Training: Courses in areas like hair dressing, tailoring, make up, manicure and pedicure, hair cutting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and welding equip participants with practical, marketable skills. Our main target group is single mothers and school dropouts.
- IT and Digital Literacy: From basic computer skills to more advanced courses in digital marketing, data entry, and IT support, we help participants gain competencies for the modern job market.
- Handicrafts and Artisanal Skills: For those interested in creative industries, we offer training in skills such as tailoring, jewelry-making, and textile production, empowering individuals to start small-scale businesses.
- Entrepreneurship and Business Skills: Our entrepreneurship programs teach participants about basic business management, financial literacy, and marketing, equipping them to run their own enterprises successfully.
- Soft Skills and Career Development: We offer workshops on communication, teamwork, interview preparation, and resume building, preparing individuals for job opportunities and workplace success.

The Skilling Center not only provides individuals with practical skills but also builds stronger communities. The impact of our center includes:

- Community Empowerment: Skill-building fosters self-reliance and confidence, helping individuals contribute to the social and economic development of their communities.
How You Can Support the Skilling Center
Your support can help transform lives through practical training and holistic development. Here are some specific areas where your donation can make a difference:
Donate and Make a Lasting Impact:
Start-up Equipment for Graduates
Help us purchase sewing machines, salon equipment (such as dryers), and other essential tools. These items are gifted to our students upon graduation as start-up capital, empowering them to launch their own businesses instead of seeking employment.
Staff Salaries
Support the monthly, quarterly, or annual salaries of both teaching and non-teaching staff who dedicate their time and skills to nurturing the next generation.
Student Welfare and Campus Essentials
Contribute to feeding our students by supporting the purchase of food, firewood, and the payment of utility bills. Many students live on-site due to long commuting distances, making this support vital for their well-being.
Infrastructure and Equipment Development
Assist us in acquiring computers, a van for the skills center, and a larger piece of land where we plan to build an administration block, staff quarters, a hospital, and a church for spiritual support.
Expanding our campus will also allow us to introduce more courses, meeting the diverse needs of the community. Currently, our limited space restricts the number and variety of programs we can offer.
- Volunteer: Share your expertise by volunteering as a trainer or mentor, helping guide participants through their training.
- Partner with Us: Businesses and organizations can partner with us to offer apprenticeships, job placements, or additional resources, helping our participants transition smoothly into the workforce.
